IN a second holiday insurance problem, Keith and Norma Sawden were faced with losing £1450 after calling off a trip to Benidorm.

The couple, of Hartlepool, cancelled the trip after Keith's mother died three days before their holiday.

But insurers White Horse, part of the Thomas Cook empire, refused to pay up until my intervention. They said Keith should have told them his mother was ill before she passed away.

He said: "They claim we are entitled to nothing.

"Is there anything you can do to help my wife and I?"
