Latest News for the Over 70s car insurance

In over 70s car insurance there were again large price differences between age ranges, even with insurers that cater for older drivers: a Saga policy with a premium of £702 for a 75-year-old female driver increases to £1,224 at 85 years old.

Which? Money also noted considerable differences between online and telephone quotes with the same companies.

The watchdog's chief executive, Peter Vicary-Smith, says: "Our research shows that many over-70s are getting a raw deal when it comes to arranging insurance simply because of their age."
